Description
Running on Rails Many of the maintenance requirements, belt speed restrictions, and curvability restrictions of traditional trough and pipe conveyors are eliminated by conveyors. The conveyor’s head and tail ends are configured similarly to a traditional conveyor. However, the belt is supported by light wheeled carts between the head and tail. This novel method of belt hauling eliminates a number of idler-related maintenance issues.
The carts are propelled along by their interface with the belt, which continues to be the tension member.
